Dog refusing to eat. What can I do?
My Maltese has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart. However, she refuses to eat food from her plate unless it is people food. We can't wait her out as she is too frail. This is a question most suitable for your Vet. With an enlarged heart she may have other medical issues. She must keep up her strength but there are a number of specialized dog foods and supplements that can help including an appetite stimulator. Again, please talk to your Vet about these options so you don't accidentally aggravate her situation beyond what it is now. Answered by Janice-HK Animal Speak 2 years ago
