How do I fatten up my wiemaraner?
One of my neighbors called the humane society on me. The lady stopped by my house and told me my wiemaraner is under wieght. He has 24 hour access to his food and he eats a 50lb. bag every two weeks. He doesn't have worms or anything like that. How can I fatten him up. The lady's coming back next month to check back on him. I used to have a wiemeranner back in the 70's and he was slim, under 100lbs. Mine was grey, not brown. I dont know what the average weight for that breed is or how old the dog is. That is an energetic breed. (They were also hunting dogs if I'm correct). Those people suspect that you are not feeding the dog or not enough. Even getting daily exersize is important as well to being healthy. Ask a vet a recommedation of food for the dog, wet and dry. Do you have "dental sticks" or bones? Good teeth is important as well.
