How do I get my cat to quit sucking on my blanket?

I can already tell you your kitten is doing this for comfort. I have experenced this before and your kitten will grow out of it. It just takes patience. Trying to stop this could not be a good thing as your kitten is comforting itself kind, of like a baby sucks a soother .You may try getting your kitten its own blanket. I know it's annoying, But in the first year of life a kitten forms it's personality so all you can do is nurture your kitten. Your kitten may also have been taken to early from it mother, sometimes at 8 weeks they are not ready to leave mom and this sucking develops because they were not properly weaned.
