How to take care of fish in the aquarium when one is away for vacations?
I am having 2 bristlenose catfish and 10 guppy fish in an aquarium. I will be away on vacations for a week. Can anyone give me suggestions how to take care of these fishes during that time? In Aquarium & fish care Asked by Sissy 2 Answers 210 Views 11 months ago Resolved |

The best and the easiest thing to do would be to buy the weekend feeders or vacation feeders. The weekend feeders last for 3 days and the vacation feeder last for 7 days. It would be best for you to buy the vacation feeder. It would cost you around 3 dollars and buy a branded one like “Wardley”. This feeder is available at all leading pet stores. Also remember to clean the water of the aquarium before you go for the vacations. So go ahead and have fun. Answered by Raea 11 months ago

It would be ideal for you to stop feeding your fishes 3 days prior to your vacation. This will clean out the digestive system of your fishes. The day when you will be leaving for the vacation, change the water in the aquarium and then vacuum the gravel. It really does not matter that the fishes would starve for a week. As a matter of fact, fishes can remain without food for months. The one week vacation would do no harm to your fish and when you would return, you would find your fish hale and hearty. So don’t worry and enjoy your vacation. Answered by Fishy 11 months ago
