I am building a terrarium but confused in putting some good species together?
My terrarium is quite large in size that is 4.5’ long and 7’ tall and 2’ deep. So, I have plenty of spaces. I want to put a poison arrow frog with other species of animals, but I don’t know which species I can put with them so, that they don’t fight or don’t try to eat one another. Different animals have different requirements like temperature, humidity, light, etc. In the unnatural situation it is very difficult to give the environment closer to the natural environment which makes each and every single species a stress free and a healthy life to live. To provide a natural environment for many species together is very complicated and difficult, even if they come from the same place. So, try to put them in different different terrarium which is also good for your frog. Answered by Akara22 1 year ago

You can try some another kind of frog or some fire belie salamanders. Different different species means different different colors in your terrarium which makes it colorful and more attractive. You can also try a pair of pygmies. Answered by Rufus 1 year ago

If I have a terrarium then I will never put or mix together animals of different different kind because they may fight with one another or may even try to kill one another. Poison arrow frogs are poisonous and if their arrow will touch other frogs then the other frog will die. So, do not mix different species of animals together. Answered by Laker 1 year ago

In my home I have four vivariums all are set up with different different dart frogs. I would never thought of adding anything to it. You don’t know that frog is very sensitive even to its own kind. It seems that when it is alone it is more comfortable and this is also true that it may have shorter life spans from the continuous stress of different cage mate even of its own kind. One of my frogs is 12 years old and living alone and will probably live for another 12 years. Answered by Bill34 1 year ago
