I want to buy an aquarium with pretty and colorful fishes
I want to buy an aquarium for myself. I feel like putting lots of colorful fishes in it. I don’t want goldfish. I am looking for some other fish species that are very cute and colorful looking. You can go for the guppies. They are easy to take care for and are really very pretty. I own 3 of them and it really is a pleasure watching them swim in the tank. Apart from that, they require less space say 5 gallons, so you can add different varieties of fishes along with the guppies like betta. Since you are beginner, betta fish would be the ideal fish to start with and later on you can try out some different variety of fishes like lion fish etc. Betta are gorgeous looking fishes with colorful, lively and a very attractive personality. The best thing about this fish is that it does not require lots of space. Two gallons of water is more than sufficient for this fish. As far as feeding is concerned, you can feed them with 4-5 pellets, flakes etc each and every day. This would be a very good beginner fish for you. Answered by Raea 3 years ago

If you haven’t had aquarium earlier and this is your beginning, then I would recommend you that betta fish would be a good option for you. This fish does not require extra care and don’t even need a filter. This fish however require regular cleaning of your aquarium. Before you buy a betta, get a simple bowl at first and if you feel like giving company to the betta, then you can add danois or tetras which are cute looking fishes. You can try African Cichlids that originates from Lake Malawi. It is a brilliantly colored fish that comes in variety of attractive colors. It would be ideal that you buy a younger one and it would definitely live for a very long time. The fish would require not more than 20 gallons of water. They grow to a size of 6 inches. They are really wonderful fish that is not only attractive looking but there is no difficulty in taking care for them. Go to a good store and buy this fish. If the shop owner is skeptical about the fact whether the fish has migrated from lake Cichlids or not, then don’t buy it. And try to buy this fish from a good store.
