I personally think that declawing a cat is cruel. Your cat so easily get an infection. I purchased my pet a cat tree, also know as condo, furniute, climber etc. They are great for your pet to play on and they have sissal posts for them to scratch their claws on. Absolutely not! Many vets won't even do the process anymore because it's considered inhumane. Declawing is an amputation of the first digits and extremely painful. A neighor had her cat declawed and it permanently affected the cat who still cries when it jumps down from things. Buy some good scratching posts and encourage your kitty to use them.
