Is it good to feed fish to cat?
Cat love fish, but is it really a good idea to feed canned fish food to cat? I don’t like to feed meat to my cat. I don’t like the way chickens are treated in farms. Suggest me any idea. In Cat food & feeding Asked by Tomcat 3 Answers 413 Views 2 years ago Resolved |

It is not you who is going to eat chicken, cats are strict carnivores and they need meat and meat is more healthier than fish then you should prefer meat than fish for your cat. Along with that you should also give good nutrient cat food. There will be no any issue related with health of your cat. Answered by CALIC007 2 years ago

I heard that Fish shouldn’t be offered more than once a week and even in very small amount. For long term too much feeding fish is not good. You don’t like the way chickens are treated but this is good for your cat health. It is healthier than the fish food. You can give chickens, lamb, beef, and venison instead of fish. I stick to these food then fish for my cat. Answered by Crazycat 2 years ago

Generally the fish which is used in the canned pet foods includes bones and which are high in phosphorus and magnesium. This may cause kidney disease or urinary tract disorder. Even boneless fish is not good fro cat. Foods which are based on fish have high level of histamine which causes allergic reaction. Cat love fish and if you want to give fish to your cat then prefer Tuna fish or other fish for special time. Salmon and Tuna fish contain high level of metals including mercury, pesticide, as well as PCBs and other toxins. Answered by Marcee 2 years ago
