Is my hamster is a mix breed of Chinese and Robo hamster?
I purchased a dwarf hamster from a pet store and it was just 2 days old when I purchased it. Now after 2 weeks he looks like a mix of Chinese dwarf and robo mix. He is smaller than he should be. He also have a Chinese looking tail. Is it a new breed? I know those kinds of breeds can't recognize each other as hamsters but is it possible? The new breed of animals are developed in case you are breeding outside the clan but it has been seen that the hamsters are really harsh when tried for the cross breeding. There is very low probability that your hamster is a mix breed because in the pet store the male and female are kept separately and so there is nearly no chances that two different breeds come together for breeding. Naturally these two breed don't generally go for the breeding because as a tendency of breeding in own breed makes this thing not happen. There may be strong fight if they don't like each other and tried to keep in same cage for breeding. Answered by Hammy 1 year ago
