I think your friend has taken good decision to install dog care & grooming center. He should first think towards neatness. He should take long hairier dog to the groomer regularly. It is not correct at all to bath the dog daily because this could harm their skin.

If it comes for ticks & fleas then you can take them from pet stores. When the dog starts smelling then give him a quick bath. You can buy clippers from pet stores to manage his hair and even you can supervise shedding.

If you are capable then you can cut the hairs of the dog by yourself. But this will be wastage of time so it is better to go to the groomer.

Every dog has individual maintenance capability. The yard should be kept clean and dog should be given regular monthly tick and flea’s drops. As per care is concerned dog must get food timely so, that they could be healthy. Tidiness should also be maintained.

Grooming of dog is the different thing. Some dog have long hair so they need to be cut within a couple of months. For this you need a best groomer so that hair should be groomed perfectly. Short hair dogs can bath every few days. It is not at all necessary that you have to bath the dog for a long time for your satisfaction. Long bath can make the skin of the dog dry. Heart guard with canine must be used for dog so that they could be prevented from heart worms.

I think that you need to go a dog caring center to study more about dog care & grooming.
