Potty training problem in my dog?
I have a 5 months old dog. I have had him since he was 7 weeks old. I and my husband try to train him at home but it is not working properly. He is not able to learn the house training. You can understand what I am trying to say. When I take him outside for potty, I wait for long time but……only after coming inside his pee start. He pees all over the house. Not only this he rolls over that and lay in it. This is not the good behavior. I am scared, is there any medical problem with my dogs or it is normal? Pl. explains me. You should give the potty training to your dog. In this training you have to take puppy outside the house on a leash. Play with him and when he go for potty then admire him lot for it- ‘good boy’ then give him a treat and let him free to play. After 3 hours take him out to the same place and repeat that work. When you taking him out for this then say lets’ go for potty. This word make him sense. Answered by Fandango 2 years ago

You should prefer for Crate training. This would be the super idea for your dog. Dogs that are trained with crate training be likely to really excited when out. Crate training is the process to teach the dog for entering the crate and to stay there. Make the crate as den substitute for him. Not make crate too big or too small. If crate is big then dog will probably make potty in it. They feel relaxed by having a place to let their guard down. They understand not to soil their den. They understand when to go outside and do all kinds of thing. Answered by bluepit 2 years ago

Hey, I think he hasn’t his control over potty at this age. A dog becomes full grown up when he is about a year and a half old. You should make a habit to him to go outside. You need not to go out every couple of hours or after drinking or eating, No this shouldn’t happen. It is a slow process for him. It takes some time to grow. Till then have patience. Although he is young but he should have knowledge and control about this. It is not normal sign for dogs to roll around own potty. Mostly dog prefer not to go where they excrete. You should consult with any dog trainer. It has not to do with medical problem. Once you meet any trainer then you will see good impact. You should clean floor after potty with an enzymatic cleaner because it smell like a bathroom for your dog. Answered by Anthony 2 years ago
