Physically disciplining a dog is never an option when training them. They don't understand why you're causing them pain and will only learn to fear you. Positive training (with a lot of praise and treats) goes a long way. When he's doing something wrong, redirect his attention to what you want him to do and praise him thoroughly. Good luck! Hey don't hit him. Just be affectionate with your dog, encourage him often and they will obey surely. Just have his food in your hand and command him according to your wish, at first he wont obey and you keep on do it, he will obey and after that u feed him. Basically dogs like encouragements.
