What are the some colorful fishes that are easy to care for in a desktop aquarium?
Can anyone suggest me what kind of fishes to go for and what kind of tank should be used for a small desktop aquarium? In Fish types & breeds Asked by Mermaid 3 Answers 123 Views 1 month ago Resolved |

Food is not an important issue. The thing that is important is clean water. Fishes can go without food for weeks but cannot survive contaminated water. So it is imperative to wash the aquarium and add clean fresh water before you leave for your vacations. Answered by Flocky 1 month ago

I would suggest you to go for 2 and a half gallon tank for the desktop aquarium. The amount of water that you would be putting in the tank would depend upon the number of fishes. Ideally 1 gallon of water would be sufficient for one fish. The different kinds of fishes that you can go for are goldfish, betas, platys, corydorases and mollies. These fishes are not only good looking but they are really very easy to take care for. It is advisable not to buy a fish that has salted grains on their body because they probably die in the due course of time. Check the food that you purchase because fishes require correct feeding for their growth and development. I hope this is sufficient to solve your query. Answered by Flocky 1 month ago
