What should I do with my dog that is food allergic?
I have a 5 year old German shepherd whom I have been feeding with a food supply of Hills z/d food which took me around 36 pounds. I have found out that my dog is allergic to that food and is currently under treatment. He is getting steroid injection after every 10 days until he is okay. He is now suffering from itchy skin and the hair around his eyes has gone bald. In Dog products Asked by Npeter 2 Answers 270 Views 1 year ago Resolved |

Since you dog is suffering with skin problem due to food allergy, try to feed him with nutros lamb and rice mix. When you are giving him homemade food try to avoid certain food products like beef, wheat, corn etc. You can buy minced lamb and chicken and they are very cheap and affordable as they can be kept in refrigerator for more than 2 days. When you serve the food to your dog, make sure that the food is warm and not cold. These things are not that expensive and you could easily afford it. You can also talk to your veterinary doctor about the cheaper food products for your dog. You can even call the popular pet stores in your locality and ask them about low budget home made food for your dog. Answered by Fandango 1 year ago

My dog was also eating very badly and he had developed intolerance towards protein food like chicken. After consulting my veterinary doctor, he recommended me to go with royal canine sensitivity and he was perfectly okay within 2 weeks. Answered by bluepit 1 year ago
