To become animal trainers you need a high school diploma or GED equivalent. You can go for the bachelor degree also. Most of the place for the trainer job bachelor degree is necessary. If you want to be a trainer for the police k-9 then I think you should join criminal justice program. With this program you would become a cop and handle a dog. If you don’t want to be a cope then your degree in criminal justice give you enough knowledge of dog training. You can get 2 or 4 year degree in criminal justice. If you want more knowledge about this then you can take help from the local police station that usages dogs. Answered by Frodette 1 year ago

The best thing to find out this is search online about the institute related with this course. If you are a student then it is good for you to add animal behavior sciences in your course. There are few schools that provide you good training methods to train police k-9. I know one college named Australian School of Pet care Studies. They are in this field to provide correspondence course to all over the world. They have great team about training etc. Source(s): Answered by Cujo 1 year ago
