Which should I use ply or plexi for the bottom of terrarium?
I am building a terrarium for a savannah monitor but having problem in deciding in choosing either ply or plexi for the bottom part. How thick should a ply or a plexi be for the 2 foot savannah monitor? Can anyone tell me? In Terrarium building Asked by Sissy 1 Answer 306 Views 1 year ago Resolved |

You can make use of the plywood for any side but for the front part you should use plexi so that you can easily see your savannah monitor. You can go to the hardware shop and buy some waterproof sealant which is safe for the animals. You can also buy a two part epoxy paint which is textured and also looks like sand. You have to paint the bottom part and approx 1’ up that is the plywood sides so that it doesn’t get warped or wet. Answered by Bill34 1 year ago
