It sounds as if something in your home or lives has changed. It may be anything from a change in your work schedule to the type of carpet cleaner you are using. Firstly, are the dogs spayed/neutered? This can be a real problem if not. As dogs get older, if they are not de-sexed they can start having problems which can lead to problems like you are having. Although they may not both be ill, if one starts marking the other will often follow. If they are both de-sexed then I would check the Jack Russel at the vet for a urinary tract infection. This can have him peeing in the house and often!
