Why does my cat meow incessantly at night?
I have a 9 yr. old female cat,part Himalayan who meows incessantly throughout the night. It's a loud, drawn out meow. I've tried leaving lights on, opening my curtains, closing all the curtains and always leave the door to my room open. I also always make sure she has food and water. I've tried getting up when she meows and spraying her with a water bottle thinking it might condition her not to meow, but it hasn't worked. Is there any reason she's doing this and does anyone have any suggestions on how to make her stop? I don't have kids, but feel like I have a newborn.
