Dogs by nature are pack animals. The more in control or Alpha dog will always like to walk ahead showing its assertion. It's not trying to trip you but show its confidence. In basic obedience training you should always have a dog walk on your left side which is considered the "heel" position. This puts the control back with you but allow the dog to still enjoy being with you in close proximity. Answered by Janice-HK Animal Speak 1 year ago

your dog must be tripping you because she might want to smell something on the pavement or that she is very inquisitive, so walb beside her not behind her Answered by aman95 1 year ago
