Why does my dog yelp when he moves ?
I have an 8 year old german shepard, rottweiler, pitbull cross. He is a very hyper and active dog.(Still thinks he's a puppy) However last night I noticed that every time he would try to get up from laying down he would yelp. He would also yelp when he would go to pick up his ball off of the floor. At first I thought it was his hips. But on further investigation I found that about 3/4 of the way down the middle of his back right along the spine he seems to have some swelling. Could you please tell me what would cause this?
