How do I get my mare to concentrate on me and not the gelding shes turned out with?
My mare, 7 years old, is turned out with two geldings and one of them she's obsessed with. now any time i try to bring her up to the ring to ride her she starts screaming, spinning and rearing until i let go and runs back down to her friends. even when i do get her to the ring she still screams and is more interested in what's going on in her paddock then what I'm doing with her riding wise. how do i address this? should i ask that she get separated from the gelding?
